Gorgeous dresses for dressing up to go downtown for this season, Williamson this time taking his inspiration from India and The Festival of Colour (Holy celebration in India), there is plenty to like with this consistent and streamlined collection of mini dresses, flattering separates, and full flowing, to the floor evening dresses. The graphic embellishment on mini dresses is this time more grown up and sophisticated with bright tweedy weaving, and traditional Indian tapestry embroidery, and whilst occasional inserts of leather and simple cut sheers keep it from being overly feminine. Mesmerizing India’s embellishments is not easy though Matthew Williamson indulged into the true colours on India and it’ s attributes so much so in his inspiration and it safe to say he is now THE “Maharaja” in fashion.
