Marcia Thrasyvoulou was born and currently lives in Cyprus an island in the Mediterranean
sea –as an offspring of a family in the fashion industry, she decides in 2000 to join the family
company, Marshell Trading House Ltd.
During her first year at the company, Marcia began creating only swimwear under the brand name of OCEAN BLUE – the locals really supported her and embraced her designs. Some years later this love she was receiving convinced her to move on and create a beachwear line in the same philosophy. As a result the beachwear line was also hugely embraced by her fans. This
success grew and the collection can now be found in 16 countries.
Year after year Marcia is dedicated to her work and participated in several exhibitions as well as the Cyprus Fashion Week. Many of her designs have been selected as trendsetters and published in the trends sections of professional magazines. In 2010 she has been selected to run on the Trends Fashion Show of the international exhibition MODE CITY in Paris.
In July 2011, the designer is selected to take part at the prestigious ULTRA Fashion Show in Paris, at the famous Pavilion Cambon amongst the biggest names of the industry. On tne same year she is elected Vice President of the Cyprus Fashion Designers Association. She also launches a RESORT line which is a more exclusive ready-to-wear line and becomes the first Cypriot on the cover of fashion magazine ‘Harper’s Bazaar’.
In March 2012 Marcia was honoured when elected “Fashion Designer of the Year 2011” at the “MADAME FIGARO” Woman
