A glittering diamond for the top fashion houses, model Marie Bartosova on our October issue\u2019s \u201ccast away\u201d editorial shoot talks to us about her current triumph in her career, a star model whom has walked the runway for an staggering 40 shows;, has landed numerous magazine covers including Vogue Japan Nippon Beauty, Madame Figaro France, Maire Claire Italy & Malysia, Harpers Bazar USA & Grazia Italy. Known for her striking streamline jaw line and enigmatic smile, she has also landed work with the world\u2019s top luxury designers, both on the runway and in photographic campaigns, including Dior eye wear, Class Roberto Cavalli, Anne Fontaine and among many others. You can definitely say that Marie is the ultra declaration to a model\u2019s stardom. We were fortunate enough to ask the supermodel a few quick questions:<\/p>\n

SJ:<\/strong> Your are a muse to so many designers especially with your very impressive profile of 40 catwalk shows, we want to find out how you first became a model, were you discovered or has it always been something you always wanted to peruse?<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0M.B: To be honest I\u2019ve never thought about being a model, even though several friends kept telling me I should try it, but I was too shy. Then I met a classmate\u2019s friend who was a model\/scout and she persuaded me to come with her to an agency in Prague. That’s when I met my mother agency and it was incredible as within a month later I was already in Paris!<\/strong><\/p>\n

SJ:<\/strong>\u00a0Your career has taken off so fast, I\u2019 m sure you have many career highlights working as leading model, what would you say is the best thing about your job?
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0M.B: Traveling, exploring new cultures, meeting new people, learning languages<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0SJ: <\/strong>You recently modeled for the \u201ccast away\u201d editorial shoot for our Moi Ostrov October issue, what was it like shooting with Fashion Photographer Stefani Imielski?<\/p>\n

\u00a0M.B: We created a great team, we understood each others ideas and expectations, and therefore the shooting was very easy. It was a lot of fun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SJ: <\/strong>Out of all the clothes you wore, what was your favourite piece you particularly liked during shoot?<\/p>\n

\u00a0M.B: It wasn\u2019t exactly my style. The closest was the black outfit put together with Trussardi pants, top by Attracttivo and Baldinini boots. I would choose to wear this outfit for some rock concert.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SJ: <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Marie with so many places to be your always traveling, what\u2019s your beauty secret for a fresh and rejuvenated look?<\/p>\n

\u00a0M.B: To drink enough water, at least seven hours of sleep if possible, no smoking, no drinking heavy alcohol… but my main secret is positive mind. When you smile, your skin smiles as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SJ:<\/b> As a model I\u2019m sure your always introduced to the latest beauty products when getting prepared by make up artists for a shoot or catwalk, are there ones that you have stuck to ever since?, could you tell us what are your top 3 beauty survival products you can\u2019t live without?<\/p>\n

\u00a0M.B: My favorite brand is L’Occitane and I really love their face care and body care. Precious serum from Immortelle is always helps my tired skin to survive and Almond Supple Skin Oil is just a paradise for the body: firms, nourishes and softens. And the third one would be Lavender Foaming Bath which relaxes me after a long day\u2019s work.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

SJ: <\/strong>Lastly tell us the first word that comes to mind when I say\u2026<\/p>\n

A very big thank you to Marie Bartosova, a model who doesn\u2019t let the pressure get to her by facing it all with a blockbuster smile, enchanting the runways with her iconic features changing the way we see models with the usual blank expression that we are use to. Marie is a model who has transfixed herself to become the clothes she wears, adapting her own personality to complement the garments, now; models like Marie Bartsova; are the ones whom will last the distance in the modelling world.<\/p>\n
