Some things just can\u2019t go unnoticed like fashion forward Georgia Kkeli student\u00a0Fashion Designer whom has given the word \u2018unique\u2019 a new meaning. Georgia\u2019s designs may not be on the market yet, though with her 3D illustrations it is easy to tell that she is on the right steps to becoming a fashion mastermind. We are proud to know that Georgia also hails from Cyprus and we were very keen to find out a little bit about her and her future prospects with this close up interview:<\/p>\n

SJ: When did you first fall in love with fashion?<\/p>\n

G.K: My love for Fashion grew with age, though only a few years back did I really start to get into it more and more, it wasn’t just a ‘hobby’ anymore it was a part of me that I wanted to expose and not just keep to myself, and so I started hands on with sewing and experimenting with art which made it clear that what I wanted to peruse in the future; had to be design in fashion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>SJ: Where are you currently taking your course in Fashion Design?<\/p>\n

<\/b>G.K: I’ m studying at the Birmingham City University and the course that I’m taking is in BA Fashion Design. I will also go on to follow onto Masters in Fashion Design either in London or Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SJ: Your illustrations are definitely fashion forward, what impresses me most is that you combine both hand craft and 3D,<\/i> what was it about 3D printing that first interested you like your designs pictured?<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>G.K: To want to change a shoe into more than what it is and what we are used to seeing it as, using natural materials which you wouldn’t expect to find on a shoe, which makes it more different, more ‘unusual’ than usual.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>SJ: Name one of your favourite fashion Designers that has always been an inspiration to you.<\/p>\n

<\/b>G.K: Vivienne Westwood because she dares to go outside the lines, she is different from other designers, her designs are far from usual and that makes them unique.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>SJ: Tell us what was the most surprising thing that ever happened to you?<\/p>\n

<\/b>G.K: I can honestly say that it was being discovered by Moi Ostrov which is a great opportunity that I could not have imagined happening, and I take this as a fist step to a successful future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>SJ: We’d like to know what would people that are closest to you would say about you therefore finish these two sentences:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>I’m good at…Making good cheese brownies<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>But I’m very bad at…Tiding, I live in a mess!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>SJ: What three words would describe your designs when buyers will wear your creations?<\/p>\n

\u00a0G.K: Unique, Chic and Playful<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>SJ: You are a positive onlooker into the future as are your designs, what are your dreams and aspirations for the future?<\/p>\n

<\/b>G.K: To finish my studies in Fashion Design and thrive in my career by also working abroad for a vast level of experience in the industry, though I do plan to come back to Cyprus and start something new in Fashion which will also offer opportunities to future fashion students like in my position now; something \u00a0that will help them in their future career as well as maintaining of course an ever changing and different look to clothes of my own designs that will be on show to the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It may be a while; but we can\u2019t wait for Georgia\u2019s first ever show to hit the runway.\u00a0A positive I\u2019m sure inspiration to all other enthusiastic student designers who are also on the same road to following their dream.
