Hidden behind jewelled masks, the models walked down the runway with two very different concepts to the new Couture collection of Maison Martin Margiela for this Fall 2013-2014. Firstly there were the aesthetics based on ‘street wear’ hence more of a casual and laid back look an everyday wear made \u200b\u200bfrom t-shirt and latex\u00a0jeans,\u00a0the second concept was more extravagant, glitzy and delicate with noticeable echoes of the East.<\/p>\n
Maison Martin Margiela creative team started the collection by recovering vintage clothing with a result the reassembling and transforming the materials into a \u2018one of a kind\u2019 dress, use of marble gemstones or curtains dating back to the 20s and a stage costume dated 1930 transformed into an elegant coat.\u00a0A very fresh and visionary approach by Maison Martin Margiela.<\/p>\n
