PETITION FOR LICENSE OF BUILDING A FITNESS MONUMENT: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“THE OKTOHEX”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Glykys a.k.a “Oktorock the Fitness Motivator” from Limassol has launched a petition to create an open space fitness area on dasoudi beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having built a regular following of fitness fans with a shared love for working out in nature Jonathan kept the development of the Dasoudi beach fitness area for months leading up to the coronavirus pandemic that eventually saw the police tear down the beach gym equipment set up by Jonathan and other volunteers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the ease of lockdown, Johnathan has launched a petition to license the beach gym and fitness area of Dasoudi with the CTO in order to protect it make it official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan’s vision as a Fitness Motivator is to inspire, motivate and help create a new era in fitness, for the young generation, directing them on to a path of being happy, healthy and strong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The vision is to realize the building of a fitness monument called: “The OktoHex<\/strong>” at Power Beach, located at Dassoudi beach, with the help of the Community, Cyprus Tourism Organization, Forestry Department and the Municipality of Limassol, Cyprus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power Beach is a fitness movement. 
A movement of Love.
The Power Beach wave of Love, Smiles and Positive Vibrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


OUR VISION OF POWER BEACH <\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The destination of this fitness movement is to create and motivate a new fitness era, a fitness community for kids, adults, seniors and athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fitness community connecting people of all nationalities, ages, genders and family backgrounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a “Power Place” curing depressions, breaking drug addictions, bullying , anti-socialism, vandalism and bringing environmental awareness to the forefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“A place where you can go to for free motivation.”
“A muscle theme park.”
“A spirit lifter.”
“Cyprus First Beach Gym.”
“Making fitness fun for all.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n


OUR MISSION OF POWER BEACH<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our mission is to show how fitness is transformational for you on a daily basis, for mind, body, and spirit.
Combined with nature and the benefits of the sea, we are building the strongest, the happiest and the healthiest immune systems possible!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been two full years, every day, building small bricks each day toward this dream. 
Sharing in the most incredible, unforgettable training experiences. With ideas being shared daily and created all at one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Engaging in community trainings and beach clean ups, we all share in the same dream: A clean Earth and strong, happy, healthy inhabitants!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Instagram page is: “Road To Power Beach” because it documents our whole journey, all the way through!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power Beach has attracted well over 1000 people in the last 2 years alone and counting+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last August 2019, we raised funds from our community and tourists and constructed a unit of dips called: “The Triple Dip”, which is three parallel bars, connected with galvanized steel. It has become part of the spot and known to Calisthenics lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have constructed weights made from recycled materials, in which the community, tourists and kids have fallen in love with, training all throughout the day. Some weights have been stolen over these two years, and in a third attempt, we have made more weights to contribute to these trainings and we have received weights as donations too, along with benches!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To protect our weights, we raised funds in donations in December 2019, and made a box from galvanized steel called: “The Buff Box”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the negative wave of Coronavirus, unfortunately on Sunday April 6th 2020, our “Buff Box”, “Triple Dip”, Pull up bars (which was an old sign post installed by teenagers some years ago, with the same dream) and all other details, including our sign, were removed by the municipality, due to “too many people training together”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For all three installations we have had at this place of power, there were no current legal licenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have designed a fitness unit in the shape of an 8, a pentagon and a hexagon, comprised of monkey bars, rings, Calisthenics bars and dips to climb and swing from called: “The OktoHex<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order for everything to be aligned and by law, we are building this petition in request from the Cyprus Tourism Organization<\/em><\/strong>, Department of Forestry<\/em><\/strong>, and Municipality of Limassol<\/em><\/strong> for the appropriate license(s) needed to create this unit(s); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From our part, we are creating the OktoHex design<\/em><\/strong>, setting up a NGO<\/em><\/strong> with Logo<\/em><\/strong>, and raising the funds needed for the OktoHex with a Crowdfunding Campaign<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WE WANT THE LICENSE FROM THE GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES TO PROCEED!
WE THE COMMUNITY ARE THE POWER!
WE FIGHT FOR LIBERTY!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are creating history here and a monument, one which Cyprus is in need!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially for this new generation who get distracted so easily with technology and violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us distract them with Fitness!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s create a new era and make history together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
