The Etherial glamour S/S 2014 collection couldn’t get any hotter as the models came walking down the runway with their macho looks wearing Xrista Stavrou’s digital art designed glamour T-Shirts and tank tops for Etherial with gladiator and winged graphics. Any man would feel like conqueror in this collection just as the warrior portrayed in this summer selection that resurrects a new legacy for Etherial.

Cut out shoulders and bell sleeves gave a transition to grown-up glamour in designer Pavlina Nicolaou’s Z collection. White, fuchsia pink and the ultra charming lipstick red jumpsuit. The show was most refreshing with pieces like these that work from the office to cocktails;, separates that blend together and easily combined in perfectly with other pieces in your wardrobe as well. Sleek pieces that will stay classic by Pavlina Nicolaou Z.

Hot designer Marios Messios keeps things cool with his floor length, lean sexy clothes. Every thing a woman needs for her wardrobe’s essentials for that “right moment”. His play with colour block with sky blues with slates of burnt orange, pastel green with luscious baby pink and of course rich cobalt blue fused in superstructured tailoring. We were very fortunate to have enjoyed this dint of Marios Messio’s impeccable artisanal designs.

This seasons new skirt shape “the full midi skirt” had taken a new shape and size in Vera Kakoutsi’s show including a dramatic floor length number to. A genius as a figure flatterer as it hides hips and draws more attention to a small waist. Vera kept it minimum with two colours including strips of white netted fabric. Be midcentury modern in this new fashion form ready to make a perceptible difference day and night; packed with volume with Vera Kakoutsi’s iconic works.

1920’s swing makes a comeback in Polina Argyrou’s show. Styles that amplify both a slim waist and create a polished look with fresh pearls by jewels designer Anna Vassiliou which are a luminous complement to this season’s silhouettes; a statement were the big necklaces have replaced the big bags. Impressive headpieces, Polina also included a Hollywood siren look with her lavish floor length formal white and pure pink silk dress, though she took a different turn with her bare-all white backless jumpsuit to vamp things up. Nostalgic pieces that reminisced the days of the vital feminine protocol of demure innocence.

The pursuit for the perfect look by Volt2Eleven – (accessories by NATC) captured by backstage top stylist Jean Rostam Ivy Pozidis of which exclusively took off on his visualization for this show. The designs skewed a sense of sweetness and a sporty casualness that reached out to all generations, from discreet floral patterned dresses, to knobbed black leather dress with a stream lined zip; that dispensed confidence with an rock n’ roll appeal. Utility chic pieces in military hues of khaki on an in command sprig trench coat, kaftan black dress with sporty shoes, to a mellow crochet pastel blue ensemble with that beautiful cargo jacket. Ascending in this presentation seductive black translucent fabrics with a phoenix of bright accessories by NATC, R-T-W modesty pieces in white and nude beige dazzeled up with long jeweled pendants and with the same colour texture on a one piece thigh grazing silk dress that popped off for evening wear. Lipstick red display on slouchy allure pants, jackets and dress stepped up striding into the spotlight. Japanese inspired florals on monochrome city shorts and dress not to heavily detailed but exquisitely printed. A huge selection by Volt2Eleven with looks that will haunt one’s imagination for looks that will cater to their clients every need.

Sophisticated fabrics and subtle palettes from Elena Pavlou’s Two in a Gondola signature designs. With marine blues, lilacs, eggshell yellows, olive greens and coral accentuated in Elena Pavlou’s S/S 2014 collection. Reconstructed arrested dresses, tow toned maxis, lots of jolts of neutral colours on soft chiffons and eco friendly materials, clothes that redefined the new edge with Elena’s personal iridescence with classical draped shapes providing a responsible choice in quality. Elena Pavlou’s clothes are those that make you smile wherever you are whatever the weather.

The shows couldn’t do without the islands leading stylist Jean Rostam Ivy Pozidis whom manifested the styling process for the complete participant designer’s shows during Elite.

Models make up included electric eye shadow and bold faded purples and sometimes blue lips with a fierce statement of creativity thanks to the make up team of make up artists backstage, keeping the rest of the face pale and powdered so that the colour pops up off this white canvas.

Super luxe hair up do’s by the team of professional hairstylists of a side shinion that had an countryside equestrian feel so you can still have a good hair day even during the summers heat.

This season’s Elite shows were impressive as always showcasing this Spring/Summer 2014 fashion venture. Times have changed and the urban man and woman is working more and more there is more need for clothes even in dire fiscal times like these;, dressing well remains a matter of familial pride. All the shows were about freedom, expression of belief and thought, that’s why the runway is the best place to be serving inspiration for its audience’s attire for all occasions.
